Premature termination

If the student ticket Hessen is no longer required, the contract can be terminated at the end of the month of the desired last month of validity. In the case of early termination, i.e. within the first year of the contract, the amount of one monthly instalment (in the case of a one-off payment, one twelfth of the annual ticket price) will be charged in addition for each month already used. Including the amount already paid; however, the maximum amount paid is the annual price of the student ticket. If the ticket was paid once in advance, the overpaid amount will be refunded. In the case of a subscription, the additional retroactive charge does not apply from the second year of the contract. A direct change to another annual ticket offer, JobTicket, FirmenCard (company card) or SemesterTicket is possible at any time at the turn of the month and without any cost disadvantages.
In the event of cancellation during the first 12-month period, twice the amount of a monthly instalment will be charged per month of use.

Reimbursement by school route cost bearing authority
Persons whose ticket is issued or reimbursed by the school route cost bearing authority need not pay for the Schülerticket Hessen. The settlement and issue of student tickets in conjunction with the school route cost bearing authority (as per § 161 HSchG) are handled differently within the RMV. Please ask the relevant local education authority.
